According to the National
Philanthropic Trust there were approximately 1,080,130 charitable
organizations in the United States in 2011, 63.4 million people volunteered in
2009 and American’s gave a total of $298.3 billion to charities in 2011.
All
of this adds up to a lot of donations! The
question is, how do you make your charity event stand out from all the others? Rest assured, there are many ways to promote
your fundraiser without breaking the bank. Here are five ways to make your charity
event a knock out this spring.
1. Send
traditional invitations. Skip the e-vite, and make it official by mailing
invitations. Although it may take extra time and effort upfront, it will set
the tone for your event.
2. Embrace social
media. Use sites like Facebook and Twitter to send out reminders and
promote your event in real time.
3. Customize
with branded apparel and products. Thank your guests by handing out custom
logoed shirts or hats.
These shirts would be perfect for a summer charity function!
4. Keep it
local. Use local entertainment and catering to keep it budget friendly
while supporting your local businesses.
5. Be unique.
Add a photo booth, signature cocktail or special auction giveaway. This will
entice guests to participate and keep them entertained all night.
